“Dave Gunning delivers straight-forward acoustic gem with Lift. Gunning is certainly one of the most celebrated songwriters we’ve seen from the Maritimes…he’s joined the ranks of the very best from these parts. As I’ve said before, if you want to know about the Maritimes, get a Dave Gunning album.”

Toronto Star

“Gunning is the next big thing in the True North of Song, an artist as compelling, as assured and attentive to every nuance of the writing process, as Lightfoot, Cockburn and Stan Rogers before him.”

International touring award nominated Canadian string bending song slinger Gordie Tentrees has arrived. This road poet, multi-instrumentalist, and master storyteller brings the unexpected to stages across North America, Europe, Australia, UK & Ireland with 7 records behind him either solo or with legendary sideman Jaxon Haldane. From Celtic Connections (Glasgow, Scotland) to the National Folk Festival (Canberra, AU) his ability to hold an audience, weave melody, while juggling the dark with the light is infectious. Performed 750 concerts in 11 countries during the past 4 years alone armed with 10 instruments, brotherly harmonies and masterful storytelling.

"Gordie Tentrees is a cross between Corb Lund and Stompin’ Tom Connors. Much like Corb Lund, Gordie has a writing style all his own, and much like Stompin Tom, commanding the stage and crowd with his honesty, humor, and storytelling. Talent is talent, and it’s clear when it comes to songwriting, Gordie Tentrees has oodles to spare" Roots Music Canada

"As organic and holistic as folk gets, this is the wild sound of freedom and the freedom to fly" Midwest Record, USA

“Majestic songwriting, genuine authenticity, incredible insight” Americana UK

Check out these video past performances with Jaxon and Gordie as they play 10 instruments (Banjo, Mandolin, Musical Saw, Lapsteel Cigar Box, Electric Cigar Box, Porchboard Bass, Snare Tam, Acoustic Guitar, Bottleneck Dobro & Harmonica)
In Scotland with the musical saw!
