We held a dinner and presentation event at the Bates’ Barn in late August this summer. It was a fantastic venue for our event. The barn accommodated well our group of around 100 with plenty of room for the buffet style meal and a clear line of sight for all in attendance of the presentation. The sound system and drop down projection screen were great for a business presentation.
Our presenter, an investment manager from a national financial firm out of Toronto, was thoroughly impressed with the venue. He wrote on twitter that “it would be hard to pick a nicer (and more appropriate) venue” for a business event. The Bates are great people, Janice was very helpful and we would highly recommend the Bates’ Barn.
I had my wedding at Bates Barn in September of this year. My bride and I both agree that selecting Bates Barn for our venue was the best decision we made for the wedding. Janice was always readily available to help with any request we had. And the venue itself is absolutely STUNNING! I cannot recommend Bates Barn enough, you will not regret selecting this venue for your special day.
The new venue is pretty well perfect, it still has all of the rustic country barn charm, except it is truly a modern venue with everything you could hope for to host a bunch of people: lots of nice tables and chairs, an integrated sound system, a drop down projector, tons of refrigerators, a kitchen, lots of bathrooms, a ton of room and a bar. There is even showers now, which were nice for me and my party because we did some setting up the morning of the wedding and got ready there after we had a quick swim across the road. And the view of the Belleisle bay doesn't leave much more to desire.
Brandon and his new wife Michaela were looking for the "Perfect" venue for their wedding nuptials. When we came across the Bates Barn website. Michaela knew right away that this was where her life would change as she became Brandon's wife. We contacted Janice who responded immediately to our emails. One of the challenges we had was the fact that none of us were local. The groom's family were all on the West Coast and the Bride's family was all on the East Coast. Janice was on spot with all of her recommendations from the wonderful cake, plates & glass rentals to the DJ(who was fantastic by the way). The Barn was everything and more for that night. All of Janice's staff were so helpful and the two mom's who were both stressed from all the work they both had put in for the last year saw it all being paid off with the staff and Janice's help. It was a wonderful night and the Barn was and is a memory that will bring smiles to the faces of all who attended. We all could not recommended this venue enough.
We had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! The barn is gorgeous and so is the view! It is the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony and reception all in one spot. The property is clean and tidy and there are plenty of tables and chairs to use for both the ceremony and reception. The kitchen is also perfect for a caterer to set up. We would highly recommend Bate’s Barn for any wedding! Also, you can’t beat that sunset on the water (makes for great wedding photos).
I attended a wedding at the new Bates Barn the end of September and it was an amazing venue. The atmosphere was perfect. The view is amazing. The outside wedding had the most stunning background of the Water! I would recommend anyone to go here as a Bride !! You will not be disappointed!!
Bob and Janice were so wonderful to deal with. They were very attentive to all my needs and questions dudring the planning process. This venue is a 5 star on every level. The outdoor ceremony site is amazing, the view can't be beat, inside was so intimate (and climate controlled), beautiful and elegant. Our guests said nothing but positive things and we couldn't be happier to have been married there.
